Meet God Halfway: Faith, Action, and Perseverance
Positive thinking and prayer can take us far, but they alone won’t carry us all the way if we don’t take action. To reach our dreams, we need to meet God halfway. You can pray and envision your goals daily, but if you sit back and wait for blessings to drop into your hands, you might be waiting a long time.
When I was 25 years old, I read a book—or rather, I listened to a series of tapes—by Anthony Robbins called Personal Power. The tapes were life-changing for me. They guided me to create goals, and through God’s grace and hard work, I was able to achieve those goals in a short time. Anthony Robbins’ teachings were incredibly motivating, and I believe God used him as a vessel to inspire me. But here’s the key: without action, without putting in the work, none of it would have been possible. Sometimes we have to work and even struggle to achieve the things we dream of.
Faith and prayer are powerful, but they also require us to move our feet. Imagine someone praying for a new home. They’re living in a cramped apartment, praying daily for a larger space for their family. They even enlist their prayer group for support, trusting that God will provide. But despite their deep faith, they’re taking no steps to prepare for this blessing.
To turn that dream into reality, action is essential. They could work toward improving their financial situation—finding a higher-paying job, paying down debt, or increasing their credit score. These practical steps show faith in action, creating a pathway for God to bless them.
Hard work is often part of the testimony of those who achieve their dreams. When you hear someone share their story, it’s rarely just faith and prayer—it’s also effort and perseverance. This mix of faith, action, and persistence is what turns hope into reality.
Are you working hard to meet God halfway? If not, it’s never too late to start. Reflect on your dreams and create a plan to achieve them. Break your goals into actionable steps, and then take the first step. Remember, it won’t come without effort. But as you work, draw strength from the Lord, trusting that He is with you every step of the way.
As I learned from Personal Power, motivation is crucial, but without action, it remains just that—motivation. God placed these lessons in my path, but it was through Him and the hard work He equipped me to do that I achieved success.
True success is built on faith, action, and perseverance. When you meet God halfway, you’ll see that He multiplies your efforts and blesses your journey in ways you never imagined.
Ready to bring your dreams to life? Start today. Set your goals, create a plan, and take the first step. With faith, hard work, and perseverance, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.
