Psalm 121:1-2 – “I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Life is filled with surprises! Sometimes these surprises can be difficult obstacles to overcome. The stress level in today’s society has reached an overwhelming high. Daily life is filled with everyday normal tasks, but it also has traffic jams, road rage, accidents, toxic people, financial issues, health problems, busy schedules, doctor appointments and more. It’s often difficult to stay motivated throughout the day. The following scriptures will help you feel encouraged when you are having a difficult day.
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Isaiah 43:2 – “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 – “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord in not in vain.”
Psalm 31:24 – “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Psalm 23:4 – “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
When you are faced with a stressful situation or day, look to these encouraging scriptures to help keep you motivated. Write them down, or make them your screensaver on your computer and cell phone. Surround yourself with encouragement and keep your faith in the Lord strong.
